The room had a great balcony. Just a short distance to hippo water slide. We totally recommend the hotel: )
-
Easy check out. Location within a walking distance of everything we needed, like adventure pier...
-
Boardwalk is a stone's throw from this spot.
-
Property is located in New Jersey not far from boardwalk.

This hotel is very close to the beach It offers off street parking It has a neat retro design to it It was clean It has free bikes you can use on a first come, first serve basis It has a nice pool and hot tub The soaps/toiletry items were not cheapy
The beds were not extremely comfortable The hotel staff was a bit unprofessional
-
The 1960's architecture and decore.
Hallways could be noisy as doors slammed easily and they had tile floors so sound echoed. But it was still a fun place to stay.

The retro design and the abundant good reviews was what attracted us to book our weekend. It was great that the pool and hot tub remained open after most others closed. The staff was always friendly and professional.
We booked a King Suite and the bed was a Queen or maybe only a Full size bed. The Continental Breakfast needs to be available a bit earlier for us early risers. Wish the pool remained open for quiet couples after the regular hours. Coffee packets, creamers and sugar would have been nice in the suites.

Nice look, pool and other amenities were above average for hotels in the area, and the hotel and grounds overall felt well maintained and clean. The location was a good spot close to everything around the boardwalk area and main strip. Desk staff was courteous, helpful, and our room was ready a couple hours before check in and they had no problem with us getting set up in the room and parking so we could get our day started.
Nothing to mention negatively
-
The cleanliness and the decor of the hotel .
Bed was uncomfortable and the breakfast was limited
-
Location was great - close to beach and close to restaurants. Price of room included breakfast which was nice. I also thought it was great that they provided complimentary beach chairs and boogie boards and beach toys. I also liked the free wireless. It was great that we had free parking in a nice size lot.
Room was small -- we are used to having a suite with more than one room so it was a little tight on space. Price was a little high for the end of the season (August 22). We could have used some extra pillows in our room. Housekeeping was only able to find one extra.

Breakfast could be improved
Really close to the boardwarlk but also quiet ...
-
I really enjoyed the staff . From the desk to the custodial workers everyone was helpful and seemed to enjoy there job. I would definitely Reccomend this hotel!! Bravo!!!
-
I love how friendly the staff was, how quite it was at night, all none smoking area, and the art deco, retro atmosphere
The pool wasn't open untill 10:00AM but it really wasn't a big deal

This was our 2nd stay at the Starlux. We love this motel. It is immaculately clean, the rooms have a great layout and are packed with ammenities for the size. Booked another stay in July while we were there.

Our entire experience was great! Our room was comfortable and the continental breakfast a treat. Hotel was close to many other restaurants and Wildwood sites. Will recommend to friends
